I am a wife and mother who is always trying to simplify my life. Between working full-time and working around the house, it seems as though I’m forever behind. There is always something else to do. If your kids are anything like mine, picking up random items can be a job of its own. I swear things just fall off my youngest. She walks in the door and starts stripping; a coat by the door, a shirt on the couch, I’ve found underwear in the hall. What can I say, she’s my streaker. And don’t get me started on toys and crayons; you don’t want to know where all I’ve found those!
One of the easiest ways to save time is to find simple meals to make. I usually glance at the recipe and if it has more than 7 steps or ingredients, I keep looking (unless it just looks super yummy!). I also try to be frugal in my cooking choices. With the cost of groceries being what they are, I try to cut corners where I can.
Another way I try to save money is by attempting to DIY where I can. For example, I’ve tried homemade cleaning solutions and laundry soaps. Sometimes I’ve found that they didn’t save me enough money to justify the cost in time, but other times it is worth it.
